About Master Plaster KD

Master plasterer at work

The Story

Thirty Years at the Trowel's Edge

Master Plaster KD was built on a simple conviction: that the old ways are the right ways. Not because of nostalgia, but because lime, gypsum, and natural aggregates have been perfected over two thousand years — and no synthetic shortcut comes close.

Based in Baltimore, Maryland, we've spent three decades working on some of the most demanding plaster projects on the Eastern Seaboard — Gilded Age estates in Newport, landmarked row houses in Georgetown, French Quarter landmarks in New Orleans, and architecturally significant new commissions from coast to coast.

Every project we accept is reviewed before it begins. Every surface is considered. Every coat is applied by hand, with the patience the material demands.

How We Work

Vetting Before Commitment

We review every project before accepting it. This isn't gatekeeping — it's integrity. We only take work we can execute at the highest level.

Natural Materials Only

Lime, marble dust, natural aggregates, and mineral pigments. We don't use synthetic binders or acrylic additives in traditional plaster applications.

The Work Takes the Time It Takes

Lime plaster cannot be rushed. Each coat must cure before the next is applied. We don't compress timelines at the expense of quality.

Small, Expert Team

We don't scale by hiring and training on the job. Every hand on your project is experienced. Every application reflects the same standard.

Work With a Master

If your project demands the highest standard in plaster craft, we'd like to hear about it.
